AI Generation Forensics
A reference for visually and technically assessing whether media was AI-generated — and roughly which generation of model produced it. Most recent generation at top, older generations further down.
How to read this: no single signal here is proof on its own. Start with the most recent era — a fake made today will usually show current-era tells, but so can an image made today with an older, still-available model. Work down only after ruling out the top row, and combine lanes (an artifact plus a technique) rather than relying on one signal alone. Hover, tap, or focus a block for the full detail.
